Introducing the magazine style book:-
Before registration, Kit Cars are required to undergo a stringent Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) test prior to being registered
Kit Cars & the Law
It starts with a review of the kit car industry then gives advice to those who are contemplating building a kit car for the first time.
It goes on to explain what the Ministers Approval Certificate is, why it was introduced and how to apply for an SVA test.
There’s a useful Q&A session in which we answer the most common questions we receive from our readers concerning the SVA.
The actual test requirements are listed along with a layman’s interpretation as to what they mean in practice. The related vehicle lighting regulations are also recorded and explained too.
The last part of the guide shows two cars going through the test. One of which is the Suffolk SS100; deliberately chosen because it’s probably the hardest kind of kit car to get through such a test.
The price is £10 incl UK p&p. Foreign customers please add an extra £1 to cover the increased postage cost.
